my unpopular opinions: week one
agree or disagree?
hamilton is horrible.
beer is way over rated.
coffee is not good.
no shorts over leggings.
folded chips taste different.
football is dumb.
i’ve never been the most talented player on the team. but i do try to make those around me better.
sometimes leading can be by saying or doing something a little bit unpopular or not quite mainstream.
i’m going to start sharing a few of my unpopular opinions here. maybe once a week. maybe more, maybe less. this is not political or personal. this is fun and funny.
let’s start off with a big opening scene . . . “how does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore and a scotsman, dropped in the middle of a forgotten
spot in the caribbean by providence impoverished in squalor
grow up to be a hero and a scholar?”
i’m not quite sure because i lost interest about as quickly as he walked on stage. i give hamilton the musical 5 stars for making it to broadway, for the brilliant wordsmith-ing, and music composition - however, for overall performance and - oh, i want to see that again - zero stars.
let’s take it back to a sports analogy and making those around you better . . . as a man who wants to follow someone or something i believe in - i wouldn’t follow hamilton, as portrayed, into a starbucks.
it’s as if my house cat cleo had been cast as simba, or shaw shank had been narrated by gilbert gottfried. i’ll even skip the women fawning over him rant.
so sorry to all of you who posted a photo of your program while holding it high toward the marquee - hamilton is waaaaay overrated. and that, that is today’s unpopular opinion.
agree or disagree?

I barely have an opinion because I've never seen it. BUT if seems like *maybe* it taught some people some history in an interesting and memorable way. So not at all bad?
